How many tries with StazOn and a shiny piece of dp does it take to not have the stamp slip? Mr. Owl? One...two...three...FOUR is the magic number! Just like the getting to the center of the elusive Tootsie Pop. Ugh, I ruined 3 cards trying to NOT get my stamp to slide. Anyone else feel this pain? Anyway, a little late, but finally got my Mojo sketch completed. This is what I've come up with by cutting up another card kit:
And this is the sketch I followed (VERY loosely):
I found these card kits that I had purchased a while ago in my craft room while cleaning up. They were on clearance so I didn't feel as bad messing up 3 of them. I didn't want to cover the pretty red flowers so I cut out a piece of the same card (I had 3 do-overs to pick from) using a Labels One to get that curved design. I put some dimensionals underneath to give it a little depth. This stamp is from Verve's new Autumn Release and Julee has a deal going on now until October 28th which you can check out
HERE.
Now I'm going to get myself a Tootsie Pop and start counting...
Have a great night!

I feel your pain! I have done that many times. I recently colored an entire image 3 times. The other two got smudged somehow just as I was finishing. Anyway your determination paid off because this looks really nice! I like the 3d effect off the label. Very creative with that too! You have lots of patience. That is why your cards are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Andrea. Looks as if those slips really paid off in the end! :)
ReplyDeleteSave a Tootsie pop for me LOL! Your card was worth the struggles as I just love the colours and how you used the Labels 1 on the side. I think I'm going to have to pass on this week's mojo sketch...we have a nice weekend coming up and it's a great chance to clean out the garden and hopefully mow the lawn for the L-A-S-T time!! This warm weather and sunshine is great but it has it's side effects LOL! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Andrea!! LOVE the Labels One! Looks amazing! I have never used glossy cardstock and my StazOn has not seen the light of day in a couple years!
ReplyDeleteDefinately feel your pain Andrea! but all your patience has paid off with the stunner! I love how you have slipped in the nestie on the side! :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes we need to hear about the oops so we don't get too discouraged ourselves. And like Stacey said, your card turned out beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Well worth the effort. Love the twist on the spotlight effect with the nestie - great effect.
ReplyDeleteAw, that stinks!! I hate messing up cards like that. Well, however many you messed up it was totally worth it cause this card rocks!!
ReplyDeleteYour end result is fabulous. I love the idea of the side label~~ mind if I copy it? LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely Lovely card! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDang that stazon but, this card is wonderful!! Well worth the effort for those of us looking!! Love how you used the bracket on the side with the same paper!! Gorgeous bow!!
