CASE Study...Time to Celebrate

Welcome to another installment of CASE Study! This week we're continuing our CASEing of ultra-talented Muse Mariana Grigsby! I have included a picture of her darling card here:

I love the soft, muted colors and the varying styles that are included on her card. The scalloped design at the bottom, the wonderfully cut out flowers in the main panel and the stand-out green bow. I have chosen to replicate her design, while changing colors and ribbon style. Here is what I've come up with based on Mariana's inspiration piece:

And, of course, a few close ups of my favorite parts:

This beautiful lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and I absolutely adore it:

Initially when I had stamped the flower, I wanted to add Glossy Accents to it to give it a beautiful sheen. As the glue was drying I was noticing that the dye was turning orange. I had envisioned a red flower on this card, not an orange one. So while the glue was still wet, I scrambled to see how I could restore the original color. I found some {old} Stampin' Up! Christmas Collection Stampin' Glitter. I coated the flower and will have red glitter on my face for the next month or so. At least it sparkles...

Now it's your turn to get creative over at CASE Study Challenge blog and draw some of your own wonderful inspiration from Mariana's work.

Here are the deets:

1. Create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off-the-page item), based on provided inspiration (being a featured creation, made by our Muse).

2. Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code CSC06), and link it to CASE Study Challenge blog with the inlinkz widget. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.

3. A new challenge is being posted every Thursday at 12.01 AM EST, and you've got until the end of Tuesday to submit your entry.

4. You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide a newly designed project.

5. We will choose one winner randomly from the list of players, who will receive the prize provided by the sponsor. In addition, the authors of the four most impressive creations will be awarded the Winner and Top 3 awards.

We will announce the winners on Wednesday.

6. Above all, have fun - and be inspired!
