Hello on this beautiful rainy Sunday! I actually don't mind the rain for two reasons. One is that I have to work today so what better scenario to have since I can't go outside anyway, and two I have so many flowers in the yard and nothing can replace good old fashioned rainwater. Well water and tap water don't have the same effect on the plants, I guess it's the nitrogen content. I just thought of reason number 3! I can hang out in my craft room and not feel guilty about missing a sunny day outside. Yikes, I just realized how obsessed I am! Oh well, I did stay up late last night working on this card. I'm using my new June bug papers from Basic Grey. I had this old ribbon at the bottom of my ribbon basket so I placed a piece over a black mat and then added a bow of the same fabric onto the sentiment. I wasn't crazy about this ribbon on the spool but it does look really nice on this card. For the background Labels Four Nestabilities, I hand cut the patterned paper piece to make it a smaller size for the white paper mat. One thing about Nestabilities is I wish they would make an option of using a 1/8" mat as opposed to 1/4". You can do that easily with the generic shapes using the small and large dies but none of the decorative pieces. Well, that just means that I have to take out my sharp scissors and do it myself! It's good practice and I have time because it's raining outside anyway...
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
