Star Power

My husband and son went out last night to buy a guitar. What was I thinking, you ask? Well I do own a pair of ear plugs so I figured I'd be safe. Little did I realize that I would have to wear them all the time. Since my kids are on spring break I'm not getting the "I'm bored" routine, now I'm getting the Eddie Van Halen performance. I'm not saying that I'm not proud that my son has chosen to play an instrument, I'm saying that 4 hours of non-stop amplified, non-lesson guitar screeching is starting to wear on me...just a little. In any event, this has inspired me to design a card. Close to My Heart has a new set called Star Power which fits in perfectly with the expanding ego happening right down the hall from me. I stamped the guitar image on White Daisy cardstock, cut it out around the edges and added Liquid Glass to the swirls coming out. I also dabbed the stars with platinum Stickles. The sentiment is stamped in white pigment ink and I sanded the edges to expose the white core of the paper. I popped up the circle under the guitar with some pop dots to give some extra dimension. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
